“What do Wikipedia, car-pooling, couch surfing, and social book marking have in common?”

Commons-based peer production systems, or social production systems, are a result of the de-centralized collaboration of individuals, who produce non-proprietary goods. This Theory Tuesdays session focused on examples of commons-based peer production, their common characteristics, and how (and why it is important) to assess the value of individual contributions.
